For some curious people, no you cannot keep this operating system. On August 1, 2009 beta will end and you will have to reinstall vista or xp or w/e you had.

Yeah I don't know if you can keep it or not after that date but you won't be able to download it anymore in a few days. I am thinking about buying a laptop to try it out.

You cant, it says before you download that you will have to reinstall another windows after august 1, 2009 (the day beta ends)
