GRID |review

GRID is by far the best racing game i have ever played. It is very realistic in driving and damage, and the graphics are beautiful. You start off freelancing, trying to get enough money to start your own team. Once you do get enough money, you can still go off and drive for other teams, or you can drive for your own team and make money. Either way you earn money, but you have to buy the car and sometimes you wont have enough so you gotta go work at other teams to make enough. Customization isnt what I thought it would be because the only thing you can customize in the game is the brands of your team. That goes for color of the car, decal placement (for your sponsors, (will be talked about next))and number/pattern of colors on your car. When you win more races, you attract more and better sponsors offering more money if you complete what they ask you to do (e.g be number 1, dont finish anywhere less then 3rd place, etc.). But it is NOT street racing, which is sort of a kill to the game. Also, you cannot increase/decrease performance on your car/cant modify the body. What really amused me in this game is ebay. When you dont have enough money, you can always go on ebay and look for your car there. But you have to make sure the car is still good, because you can get like a 10k discount on the car from ebay, but, the car might have like 40k mileage on it and it will be VERY slow, or it might have been totaled a lot, which is not a good sign. Also, when you want to make some money, you can always place your cars on ebay and set the bids for it which is pretty nice. The only thing that really disappoints me in this game is the difficulty. The difficulty is off, meaning normal should be hard, hard should be serious, serious should be expert, etc. Most races, i cannot make one mistake causing me to restart constantly which is officially the most annoying shit ever. I play all my races on normal mode, and it is just ridiculously hard. If you do plan to play the game, be aware of that one piece of information because you cannot change the race once you have started it. Once you started the race, you must either beat it or quit it. Quitting has the following consequences: lose the race forever, get a bad rep, dont get much needed money. In short, GRID is an amazing game which is a must for all race car gamers. The game is very realistic and only con is the difficulties are a bit off.
