The Office is an AWESOME show...but I'm only referring to the American version. It's got more "slapstick" humor that the average American understands. The British version however, contains too much "sophisticated" humor. If I wanted to think that much while watching TV, I'd just TiVo Jeopardy every night

Oh, and to add to the discussion: The Simpsons, Pushing Daisies, My Name Is Earl, Ugly Betty, and Chuck. You should watch Chuck...yeah, like...right now. Can you YouTube it or something? Haha, j/k.

i LOVE the simpsons so flpping much ive seen like a 150 episodes but thats not even half of the like 425 they have or watever the number is

yea i've heard of the brit version, never seen it though. but uh, whats that guys name, something rainn, the guy who plays dwight, he's fucking hilarious. I love how he hides weapons all around the office, and he's never actually used any of them except the pepper spray xD. But all his other shit is from like, feudal japan, samurai swords, nun chucks, ninja stars xD

I think the funniest aspect of the show ("The Office") is that the producers try to make it look like everything is just a documentary and everyone's ad libing (even though it's all scripted, of course). I find that on TV, spontaneous humor is 10x funnier than "expected" humor, the latter which can be clearly seen in shows such as Will & Grace, Friends, Seinfeld, Frasier, and the like. Not that those are bad shows...but just that The Office takes the comedy show genre to a whole different level. Any thoughts?
