If any of you were old enough in 1997 to play the demo and then the full game of Starcraft in 1998 was one of the best RTS games. Best way to put it, Starcraft is Warcraft in space. sc 2 looks sexy, its on my to buy list as well as diablo 3.

I have a love hate relationship with blizzard. I fucking love all their games, but they tease with their new games SO much. And quotes like "when it's ready" really gets under my skin. But diablo 3 sounds great, they're working with the fans to adjust the gameplay which i think is great. also if sc2 has heroes like wc3, ima get it. sc2 dota ftw.

Yeah, not so much with the dota part, buy blizz games are pretty sick.

Starcraft was the game that got me gaming........*sigh* I love that game, and I look forward to SC2, I cant wait to use the MotherShip!

i cna't wait to get this game. when i learned there was going to be a starcraft 2 i checked every website to learn about it. i can't wait to play it and see what improvements they have for zerg. also seph there is a reason they put no heros. without heros in the game it makes you have to use more strategy. also to put heros in starcraft that level up will feel unnatural for the game

man i hope starcraft 2 is going to be like warcraft 3 only better graphics and online. as soon as i heard it was out i to searched videos for teasers but couldn't find any for some reason. the only video i did managed to find was a teaser for a mod of c&c generals called starkiller it didn't really work although i wished it did. Also i want to be zerg and pwn all the noobs online with there suppior numbers and stuff.

Technically, the original Starcraft still had "heroes". Think Kerrigan, Zeratul, and the other characters in the story that could pwn a small army by themselves. I'm hoping SC2 will go more with a Diablo 2-type hero system (similar to WC3) rather than just a beefy dragoon named Fenix.

I just found out that GameStop expects SCII to be released on June 3rd, 2009. They are even taking Pre-Orders for $5.

I hope that StarCraft II does NOT have Heroes in its standard gameplay, however, I DO hope that it has the same capability for making Heroes as WarCraft III so you can make those games.

Starcraft 2 will be 3 "games", 1 main game and 2 expansions. The content for the game is so huge that it has to be 3 separate games. The reason that it will be 3 is because of the huge campaign story line for each race and a lot of cinematic scenes based on your choices during the missions. It's 3 races and 3 "games". The way it sounds is that the order of the releases will be: Game #1 Terran, expansion #2 Zerg, and expansion #3 Protoss. Each expansion will be a huge single player campaign for that race. You will be able to play any of the 3 races for a skimish match or an online game.

Game - Terran = Wings of Liberty
Expansion #1 - Zerg = Heart of the Swarm
Expansion #2 - Protoss = Legacy of the Void
